about us

Family Owned & Operated

Since opening in 1975, Alpine Steakhouse has become a cultural landmark in Sarasota. The Alpine is a restaurant, meat market (butcher shop), and a small specialty grocery all under one roof!  What keeps customers coming back is the fact that virtually nothing comes out of a box or shrink-wrapped. Everything is homemade from scratch by the father-son team of Mark and Matt Rebhan.

Stop by and enjoy our famous TurDucKen as well as our delicious prime dry-aged steaks, fresh seafood, chicken, lamb and crabby crab cakes to mention just a few. Traditional German specialties like wiener-schnitzel, sauerbraten and bratwurst are only a few of the choices.  Also Japanese Kobe Burgers, steak-burgers, hot New York Reubens, Philly cheese steaks, salads and homemade apple strudel. We have fine wines and more than 60 imported beers.
